In case the poem is hard to follow, here's a plain English summary: If a man complained about idealized romance novel heroes, the public would just question why he's reading women's literature in the first place and otherwise pay no attention to him. So accordingly, there's no reason we should legitimize it when women complain about the female protagonists in entertainment aimed at men. Furthermore, feminists seldom complain about the portrayal of women in literature for women, even though the women there are still often sexualized and exhibit even less agency. The pattern seems to be that feminists complain, not when women are presented as objects, but when men's attention is being taken from them. This isn't just about rivalry among women; when men are being entertained (even when the entertainment is nonsexual) by diversions other than women, such as comic conventions, men become less dependent on women, and women lose social influence.
