I love someone with Autism.
The polychromatic emoticon represents autism in three key ways:
1) He's colored with several vibrant, cheerful colors like the Autism Awareness puzzle.
2) He performs a repetitive, stereotyped motion, as people with autism often do. I'll bet you didn't know the beloved :La: was autistic!
3) He doesn't respond to the green emoticon's affection like one might expect, much like people with autism have difficulty interpreting and responding to social cues. Nevertheless, you can see that he's excited to get his friend's affection! Drawn in MS Paint, animated in Gimp, 120 frames, 15 colors. It's my second animation so far! It took a few days to coordinate all the independent motions in a continuous loop, but it was worth it!
